VIKING OCTOPUS

This little doodle has been living in secrecy for a couple of months now as it was a preliminary sketch for this awesome project I got to take part in. Well, that project is entering its final stages and this guy didn't quite make the cut. Rest assured that he's not at all as resentful as he appears to be.

Happy Valentine's Day

The most serendipitously delightful thing happened today. During art class, Zachary received a mysterious voicemail from an unknown caller. Being the ace detectives (slash slightly nosy people) that we are, we listened to the message. It went a little bit like this..

(Read in old lady voice)

"Hi Penny, this is your sister Bon. [Pause] Uhh ohh.

Seems as though my voice went out! So, this is your sister Bon-nie.

I just wanted to say Happy Valentine's Day and that I love you very much."

Sisterly Love.

Charm factor to the max! I mean, talk about tugging at your heart strings. Some people are always griping about Valentine's Day and not having a romantic partner to share it with, but there are other people in your life to shower with love, too! (And not just on V-Day!)

Anyway, I just can't get over how sweet this gesture was. And now I really miss my famfam.

OH! And don't worry. We called Bonnie back to make sure she would call Penny. Hope you guys have a great rest of the week!

WHOA!

Never have I ever seen this much snow in my life! My brother and I have been texting each other throughout the day talking about it. I feel like this is one of those stories I get to tell my grandkids about. Snow days are the best.

So determined to venture out into the fluffy chaos!

...or maybe, I'll stay in and hide under my blanket.

Okay, running on a goose egg amount of sleep right now and still have a buttload of work to do! Just wanted to document this momentous act of mother nature!
