Grumpy Gargoyles

Sometimes I'm grumpy! And so are these wee little gargoyles. Grumble, grumble.

Yeah, kick those rocks and frown those frowns.

Grouch out,

CATS IN SPACE

When I stumbled upon this dress from ModCloth, I just had to have it! How could anybody say no to these dapper little cats sipping cosmos in outer space? The dress certainly is as fun to doodle as it is to wear:

Cosmic kitties.

Happy Friday, everyone! Fingers crossed that the sunshine is here to stay.

Until next time,

Kooky Little Bat

Phew! Now that the craziness has subsided, I can resume regular doodling. Here's something a little "batty" (har har).

A kooky genius bat with some astronomical dreams.

And carpentry skills.

Preparing for BLAST OFF.

I'm actually scheming away on my next doodle endeavor! For now, I'm going to keep it hush-hush. On a gloomier note, my thoughts go out to all those affected by the tragic turn of events in Japan. I cannot believe the devastation.

Until next time,

A real-life Shy Bear!

It's a double-header today! I know photos are not traditional to this blog, but as a follow-up to the post about The Shy Bears: Make New Friends AND in the spirit of Teddy Bear Thursday, here is a picture of one of many Shy Bear plushies that I made to accompany the book. They're very tiny.

And oh so doofy.

Sorry to inundate you with bearsbearsbears! Hope you guys enjoyed the book!

Until next time,

Teddy Bear Thursday

I have a whole bunch of extra illustrations stockpiled in a folder from another art project I did. They are of the fuzzy-wuzzy variety and I thought they might find a nice home here on the blog. So, how does Teddy Bear Thursday sound?

This is my ideal bear. He's fairly small and super cozy. Though he's in black and white here, I picture him as having a burgundy frame speckled with silly patches here and there. He has paw pads and a chubby belly of tan suede. His eyes are made of buttons and his nose is black velvet. Best of all, his noggin is massive.

More bears (and other sorts of posts) to come!

Bandit Penguin

Taking a break from some stressful, end-of-the-quarter obligations to post this rascally fella. Yee-haw!

Bandit Penguin: His Boots are Cooler than Yours

Ok. Back to work!
